Meet Our Team

I’ve always viewed Financial Planning as a deeply personal process—less about products and more about what money means for each family and their life goals. Every client’s story is unique, and that’s what I enjoy most about my work. Our clients are some of the most interesting people, and I truly value getting to know who they are, helping them pursue their goals, and building a strong financial foundation along the way.

For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals and families through their financial journeys. My career began in banking and information technology, which gave me a strong foundation in both numbers and problem-solving.

My wife, Lara, and I live in Marietta, GA with our three children—Jack, Elizabeth, and Samuel who cover high school and college ages. I stay active in our community through our local church and the Boy Scouts of America.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me outdoors. I love hiking, camping, and spending as much time as possible in nature. Trips out West are some of my favorites, so if you’ve got one planned, I’ll want to hear about it.

I’m the Director of Client Relations for the Ghioto Team at Ashford Advisors, and I’ve spent more than 10 years in financial planning helping clients feel confident and supported in their financial journey. I believe financial planning should be approachable and empowering, and I’m passionate about building strong relationships that make navigating complex decisions a little easier. 

My role on the team is to be your first point of contact when you have questions or need assistance with your portfolio or any of our systems. Do you need a reminder of how much your life insurance premium is or how much your monthly investment contribution is? I can help with that! Did you come across an article that may relate to your financial plan and you have questions? Send it over! I don’t think there are every any silly questions and I want to make sure you feel comfortable and encouraged to come to us with all needs. 

I’m originally from St. Simons Island but have called Atlanta home for over 10 years. Outside of work, I love to travel, explore new cultures, and seek out the best restaurants — I like to think of myself as a bit of a restaurant guru. If you need a restaurant recommendation – I’m your girl! 

Hi, I’m Kimberly! As the Client Operations Associate for the Ghioto Team, I make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes—whether that’s handling paperwork, organizing details, or prepping for meetings so the team is always ready to shine. With an eye for detail and calm efficiency, I ensure the rest of the team can stay focused on what they do best.

I’m originally from Mexico City, but now I call Cumming home, where I live with my husband, Ben, and our energetic pup, Ozzy—who definitely thinks he’s the one running the house. When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me chasing after him, spending time with family, or relaxing with Ben.

I’m also the team’s proud resident Swiftie, so there’s a good chance I’m either quoting lyrics, playing my favorite songs on repeat, or finding a way to sneak a Taylor Swift reference into everyday life. Whether at work or at home, I strive to bring positivity, care, and just a little bit of fun into everything I do.
